Dates are special objects in JavaScript.  Create a new page called date.html and put this in it:

var currentDate=new Date();
alert(currentDate);

When you try it you should see that the date defaults to the current date and includes the time and the time zone.  If you just want a part of that data you can have it.  Add these to date.html:

var datePart=currentDate.getDate();
alert(datePart);

You should get the date within the month.  Add more similar lines and alerts to get at least two of these:
