Open colours.html and save it as textcss.html. You will work on the appearance of the text in the next few pages.
You can change six main things to do with text and fonts which are used a lot:
- font family - the font to use
- font style - for italic
- font weight - for bold
- font size
- text-decoration - for underline or strike through
- text-align - left, centre or right align the text
There are more but for now those will probably be enough. Normally you would style them in an external stylesheet but in the next few pages you will use embedded and inline styles as well so that you get some practise with them. You can use any styles in all three locations to get the same effect so what you learn one way can be used anywhere.
